1. Overview

MediMAR is a personal medication reminder, diary and administration-record application for iPhone and Android. It is designed for an individual to manage their own medication on their own phone.

MediMAR does not require an account. The current version does not operate a MediMAR-controlled server and does not send your medication information, administration history, diary entries or photographs to MediMAR Ltd.

2. Information stored by MediMAR

MediMAR may store medication details, schedules, administration outcomes, actual administration times, amendments, warning overrides, optional reference photographs, reminder preferences, diary and wellbeing entries, health readings, stock supplies, adjustments and re-order acknowledgements. This information is stored locally within the app’s protected storage and used only to provide its medication-management functions.

3. Photographs and camera access

MediMAR requests camera access only when you choose a feature that requires it. An optional reference photograph is stored locally. A photograph taken during an administration check is processed for that check and is not retained. The outcome of the check may remain in the administration audit.

4. Notifications, alarms and device assistants

If enabled, MediMAR uses the notification and alarm services provided by iOS or Android. Notification content may be visible on a locked phone or paired device according to your settings. Any voice-assistant feature is processed by the platform provider under its privacy terms.

5. Sharing and exported reports

MediMAR can create MAR chart, Diary and Mood and Medication Overview PDF reports. A report remains on your device unless you choose to share, save or print it. The destination you select controls the resulting copy.

6. App collection, analytics and advertising

The current app does not collect personal or health information on behalf of MediMAR Ltd, use advertising identifiers, track users across apps or websites, include third-party advertising or use third-party analytics.

7. Website analytics

This website uses Cloudflare security services and cookieless analytics. We record the page viewed, whether a visitor remains for 15 seconds or reaches halfway down a page, interactions with sample-report and email links, the landing page and the referring or campaign source, including whether a visit came from Google. This helps us understand the journey from reading information to opening a report or making contact.

Attribution is kept temporarily in the browser’s session storage so those actions can be connected during the same browsing session. We do not use it to access medication information, identify an individual, place advertising cookies or follow visitors across other websites.

8. Platform services and backups

MediMAR can create a password-protected encrypted personal backup for you to save or share through your phone’s standard file and share controls. It can include medication and administration history, diary entries, stock records and saved reference photographs. You control the password and destination; MediMAR Ltd cannot recover the password or access the file.

Apple and Google control their respective app stores, notifications, alarms, device backups and operating systems. Information stored by MediMAR may also be included in a device or cloud backup if you enable those platform services. MediMAR does not use a MediMAR-controlled cloud service to share medication records.

9. Retention and deletion

Detailed administration records—including associated warning overrides, photo-check outcomes and corrections—are normally retained on your device for 90 days. Expired administration audit chains are removed together so that a correction is not separated from its original record.

Records needed to track an active short course are retained until the course is complete. The 90-day retention period then applies. Information required for MediMAR’s defined 28-day MAR reporting cycle is also preserved.

Medication details remain on your device until you amend or archive them, delete the app, or erase the device or its backup. Medication and treatment records required to interpret retained administration history are not removed independently. Diary entries remain until you delete them. Exported reports and backup copies must be managed through their destination.

10. Security

MediMAR relies on the app sandbox, device encryption and access controls provided by iOS or Android and offers an optional App Lock. You are responsible for keeping your device, passcode, platform account and backup passwords secure.

11. Children

MediMAR Personal is intended for a person managing their own medication. A child should use it only where appropriate and with involvement from a parent, guardian or healthcare professional.

12. Your rights and contact

Because the current app does not send personal information to MediMAR Ltd, we generally do not hold app information that we can retrieve or delete for you. Manage local information directly on your device. Questions can be sent to support@medimar.co.uk.

13. Changes

We may update this policy when MediMAR’s features, legal requirements or data practices change. The latest version and effective date will appear here.
