The person using the chart does not need to operate MediMAR, remember a password or manage alerts.
MediMAR bridges digital medication management with the familiarity of a paper MAR chart.
A relative or trusted person can set up the medication regimen in MediMAR and print a clear 28-day MAR chart for use at home. The person taking the medicines gets a familiar paper record—without needing to use a smartphone or learn another app.

Scheduled rounds and intended doses are shown. Each due-day box contains the dose but leaves off the recorded administration time so it can be signed or initialled. Each PRN medicine has four blank daily rows for recording the actual time and dose. The example medicines are fictional.

Paper can stay beside the medicines and provide a familiar place to see and record each scheduled dose.
A relative or trusted person can help with the digital preparation while respecting the individual’s wishes.
The chart supports recording what happened, including scheduled doses and multiple PRN administrations.
A personal home-use record—not a professional care system.
The chart is created from the information entered into MediMAR. It is not a professionally verified MAR, prescription, dispensing record or instruction to administer medication.
Use the current prescription or pharmacy label, check every entry carefully, and prepare the regimen with the person’s knowledge and agreement wherever they have capacity to decide. Do not change a medicine without advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Paid carers, care agencies and regulated services must continue to follow their organisation’s approved medication policies, records, training and governance requirements.
Paper medication records at home
Does the person taking the medicines need to use the app?
No. A relative or trusted person can help prepare the regimen in MediMAR and print the 28-day chart. The person can then use the paper record at home.
Can someone enter another person’s medication without telling them?
Medication information should be entered with the person’s knowledge and agreement wherever they have capacity to make that decision. Their privacy, preferences and independence should be respected.
Is the printed chart an official or professionally verified MAR?
No. It is a personal support record created from information entered into MediMAR. Medicine details should be checked carefully against the current prescription or pharmacy label.
What happens when a prescription changes?
The regimen should be updated, checked and a new chart printed. An outdated chart should not continue to be used after a medication change.
Modern preparation. A familiar paper record.
MediMAR is being prepared for independent testing and release.
