Scheduled medicines are organised by time, with optional device reminders and a clear view of what remains due.
What is MediMAR Personal?
MediMAR Personal is a medication reminder and personal MAR app for an individual managing their own medicines on iPhone or Android. It brings schedules, reminders, medication details, administration records, stock information, reports and optional health observations together on the user's phone.
More than a timed notification
A standard pill reminder usually answers one question: is something due now? MediMAR supports the wider process of personal medication administration—identifying what is due, checking the intended instructions, recording what actually happened and reviewing that information later.
The Today view groups medicines into understandable rounds. A user can see the medicine, dose, directions and scheduled time, then record an outcome and the actual administration time. The resulting history reflects the user's entries rather than assuming every notification resulted in a dose.
MediMAR does not prescribe, change a regimen or decide whether a medicine should be taken. Users should follow the prescription, pharmacy label and advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
How MediMAR supports a medication routine
- Enter the medicine accuratelyRecord its name, strength, form, directions, dose and schedule from the supplied instructions.
- Review what is dueThe Today view groups scheduled medication into rounds and keeps PRN medication available when required.
- Receive an optional reminderDevice notifications can prompt the user, subject to notification permission, system settings and battery management.
- Record the outcomeThe user records what happened and when; MediMAR does not mark a dose as taken automatically.
- Review or reportHistory, diary information and reports can be reviewed or exported when the user chooses.
What MediMAR includes
Record actual outcomes and times, including taken, refused, missed or not-required entries where applicable.
Timing, PRN limits and cumulative paracetamol checks add context without replacing the supplied instructions.
Optional reference photographs and photo-checking tools can support identification, subject to the user checking the result.
Record supplies and deductions, review remaining stock and manage relevant expiry or after-opening information.
Record symptoms, side effects, effectiveness, mood, health readings and other observations, with optional scheduled check-ins.
Create personal MAR, medication, diary, mood and tracking reports from information recorded in the app.
Create a password-protected backup for storage or restoration under the user's control.
Permanent Free access and optional Full access
MediMAR uses a freemium model. The core safety functions remain available without a subscription; a monthly or annual subscription unlocks the wider management, checking and reporting tools.
Free
Available without a continuing subscription.
- Today and medication schedules
- Medication entry and management
- Medication administration records and history
- Personal MAR generation
- Encrypted backup and restore
Full access
Includes everything in Free, plus:
- Medication photo checking
- Diary, health tracking and wellbeing reports
- Medication stock and re-orders
- Voice Assistant
- App Lock configuration
Eligible new subscribers may be offered a 14-day Full trial through the App Store or Google Play. Monthly and annual subscriptions provide the same Full features; the relevant store shows the current localised price, renewal date and eligibility before confirmation. Cancelling preserves Full access until the store-managed expiry.
If Full access ends, existing records are not deleted and the permanent Free functions remain available. An App Lock already enabled during Full access remains enforced so an entitlement change cannot expose the medication record.
Where the information is held
MediMAR is designed around local device storage. Medication, administration, stock, health-tracking and saved photograph information is held in protected app storage rather than in a MediMAR-hosted personal health-record account.
The user controls reports and encrypted backups they create and chooses where to save or share them. Platform services may still be involved in areas such as notifications, speech features, purchases or a destination selected for an exported file.
Read the platform-specific policies for the complete current detail: iPhone app privacy and Android app privacy.
Who MediMAR is—and is not—for
MediMAR Personal is intended for one individual managing their own medication. A relative may help that person enter information or prepare a report with their agreement, but the app does not create professional administration accounts or a shared multi-patient service.
- It is not a care-home eMAR or professional medication-administration system.
- It does not prescribe, dispense or alter medication.
- It is not a diagnostic tool or a substitute for professional clinical advice.
- Reminders must not be the user's only way of knowing what to take.
- Photo checking, text extraction, prompts and health tracking are supplementary aids.
Questions people ask about MediMAR
Short, factual answers about reminders, records, privacy and access.
Is MediMAR a medication reminder app?
Yes. MediMAR provides scheduled medication reminders, but it also lets the user review directions, record what actually happened and create a personal medication administration record (MAR).
Is MediMAR free?
MediMAR has a permanent Free tier covering medication schedules, administration records, personal MAR generation and encrypted backup and restore. Optional monthly or annual Full access adds photo checking, stock management, health tracking, wellbeing reports, Voice Assistant and App Lock configuration.
Does MediMAR work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. MediMAR Personal supports iPhone and Android. Separate platform policies explain differences involving permissions, notifications, purchases and other operating-system services.
Does MediMAR store my medication records online?
MediMAR does not require a MediMAR-hosted health-record account. Medication, administration, stock, health-tracking and saved photograph information is held in protected app storage on the user's device. The user controls any reports or encrypted backups they create.
Can MediMAR create a MAR chart?
Yes. MediMAR can generate a personal MAR from the medication and administration information recorded by the user. It is a personal support record, not a professionally verified care-home eMAR.
Does a reminder mean the medicine has been recorded as taken?
No. MediMAR does not assume that a notification resulted in a dose. The user records the outcome and actual time so the administration history reflects what they entered.
Can a relative help someone use MediMAR?
A relative can help an individual enter information or prepare a report with that person's knowledge and agreement. MediMAR remains a single-person app and does not create professional staff accounts or a multi-patient service.
Does MediMAR tell me whether to take a medicine?
No. MediMAR does not prescribe, alter a regimen or provide a clinical decision. Users should follow their prescription, pharmacy label and advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Who is behind MediMAR?
