Android Privacy Policy
1. Overview
MediMAR Personal is an Android medication-management app for an individual managing their own medication. It does not require a MediMAR health-record account.
2. Information stored on your device
Medication details, schedules, administration records, stock information, health-tracking entries and saved medication photographs are stored locally in encrypted app repositories. Enabled tracking sets and their schedules are also protected locally. MediMAR Ltd does not operate a server containing these health records in the current app.
3. Camera, photographs and text extraction
Camera access is requested only when you choose a feature that needs it, such as adding a medication photograph or using a packaging check. Saved reference photographs remain in protected local storage. Images used for an administration check are processed for that check and are not retained unless the feature clearly says otherwise. Text extraction is an assistive entry feature and its result must be checked by the user.
4. Microphone, speech recognition and spoken output
Microphone access is requested when you choose voice input. The Android speech-recognition and text-to-speech providers installed or selected on your device may process speech or spoken output under their own privacy terms. Processing may occur on the device or through that provider's service depending on your Android configuration. MediMAR Ltd does not receive the recording or recognised command.
5. Notifications, exact alarms and battery management
If enabled, MediMAR uses Android notifications and alarm services for medication reminders and scheduled tracking check-ins. Exact-alarm availability, notification permission, battery optimisation, manufacturer power management, Do Not Disturb, device restarts, clock or time-zone changes and other system settings can delay, suppress or prevent a reminder. Notification content may be visible on the lock screen or connected devices according to your Android settings.
6. Google Play Billing
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Google controls the payment account and payment-card processing. MediMAR receives information needed to establish entitlement—such as product, purchase and subscription status—but does not receive your full payment-card details.
7. Reports, sharing and encrypted backups
MediMAR can create medication, administration and tracking reports. They remain under your control unless you choose to print, save or share them. You can also create a password-protected encrypted backup and choose its destination. MediMAR Ltd cannot recover its password or access the backup.
8. Advertising, analytics and tracking
The current Android app has no advertising, advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking or MediMAR health-record analytics. MediMAR does not sell personal or health information.
9. Retention and deletion
Records remain locally until you delete them through the available app controls, clear the app's data or uninstall the app, subject to Android backup behaviour and copies you exported. Audited corrections may retain the original record and reason to preserve record integrity. Deleting an enabled tracking set does not silently delete its recorded entries.
10. Device security and App Lock
You are responsible for protecting your Android device, screen lock, Google account, exported files and backup password. If App Lock is enabled, authentication is performed by Android's protected device-authentication service; MediMAR does not receive your fingerprint or facial biometric data.
11. Children
MediMAR Personal is intended for a person managing their own medication. A child should use it only where appropriate and with the involvement of a parent, guardian or healthcare professional.
12. Contact and other terms
