Android Terms of Use
1. Scope
MediMAR Personal is licensed for an individual managing their own medication. It is not a care-home eMAR, prescribing system, dispensing system, professional medication-administration system or multi-patient clinical record.
2. Medication support, not medical advice
MediMAR provides reminders, recording and supplementary checking tools. It does not prescribe, diagnose, interpret a health condition, determine a clinical dose or recommend treatment changes. Follow the prescription, pharmacy label and advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
For suspected overdose, serious adverse effects, a rapidly worsening condition or another urgent medical concern, contact the appropriate emergency or medical service immediately. Do not wait for MediMAR support.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for entering and checking information accurately, maintaining permissions and device settings, protecting and testing backups, reviewing restored information and maintaining another reliable medication plan if MediMAR or the device is unavailable.
4. Android reminders
Reminders depend on Android notification and alarm services, granted permissions, exact-alarm availability, battery management, manufacturer restrictions and device settings. They may be delayed, suppressed or unavailable. Reminders must not be your only way of knowing what to take.
5. Supplementary aids
Photo checking, safety checks, text extraction and health tracking are supplementary aids. They can be incomplete or incorrect and do not establish what a medicine is, prove it was taken, diagnose a condition, interpret a reading, establish causation or recommend treatment.
6. Administration records and reports
Administration and tracking records reflect information entered or confirmed by the user. Reports may contain omissions, retrospective entries, corrections or warning overrides and are not independently verified clinical records. Share them only with appropriate recipients.
7. Data, reports and backups
You are responsible for the security, password and destination of encrypted backups and exported reports. See the Android Privacy Policy and Android Data Sources & Licences.
8. Google Play subscriptions
Subscription purchases, renewals, cancellation, offer eligibility and restoration are administered through Google Play and the Google account used for purchase. Auto-renewing subscriptions continue until cancelled. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Refund eligibility and processing are governed by Google Play's applicable terms and refund policies, except where law requires otherwise.
If Full access ends, MediMAR does not remove the permanent Free safety tier or delete retained local records. Features requiring Full access may become unavailable, while the Free tier remains available subject to the app's current feature rules.
9. Acceptable use and availability
Do not misuse MediMAR, bypass its security or use the Personal edition to provide a regulated medication-administration service for others. Features may be maintained, updated, replaced or withdrawn to improve safety, comply with law or support Android changes. Continuous availability is not guaranteed.
10. Liability and governing law
Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights where doing so would be unlawful. Subject to those protections, MediMAR is a personal support tool and is not responsible for loss caused by inaccurate entries, failure to follow professional instructions, unavailable Android services or use outside its stated purpose where that loss was not reasonably foreseeable. The law and mandatory consumer rights applicable where you live continue to apply.
