NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d)

Medicine names and product information used by MediMAR are derived in part from the NHS Dictionary of Medicines and Devices (dm+d), authored and maintained by the NHS Business Services Authority with support from NHS England, on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.

SNOMED CT

dm+d uses SNOMED CT content and identifiers. SNOMED and SNOMED CT are registered trademarks of SNOMED International.

Anvisa open data

The Brazilian medicine catalogue uses open data published by Brazil's Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa). See Anvisa Dados Abertos for source information and applicable reuse terms.

No endorsement

Inclusion of NHS dm+d, SNOMED CT or Anvisa data does not imply endorsement, certification or approval of MediMAR by the NHS, NHSBSA, NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care, SNOMED International, Anvisa, the Brazilian government, Google or any other source organisation.

Scope and currency

Installed catalogue data reflects the source release packaged or downloaded for that app version and may not contain later corrections, additions, withdrawals or other source changes.

Medicine data assists entry. It is not a prescribing database, dispensing system, comprehensive clinical decision-support service or substitute for a prescription, pharmacy label or advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
