Terms of Use

Effective 22 July 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to the personal edition of MediMAR. MediMAR Personal is licensed for an individual to manage their own medication. It is not a care-home eMAR, professional administration system, prescribing system, dispensing system or multi-patient clinical record.

2. Medication support, not medical advice

MediMAR provides reminders, recording tools and optional safety prompts. It does not prescribe, determine your clinical dose, diagnose illness or replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional. Follow your prescription, pharmacy label and professional instructions.

Urgent concerns

For suspected overdose, serious adverse effects or urgent medical concerns, contact the appropriate emergency or medical service immediately.

3. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for entering medication information accurately, checking suggested information, keeping records current, testing device permissions, maintaining an alternative medication plan and protecting your device and exported information.

4. Reminders and device availability

Notifications and alarms depend on iOS or Android services, settings, battery, connectivity, operating-system behaviour and permissions. They may be delayed, suppressed or unavailable. MediMAR must not be your only means of knowing what to take.

5. Safety checks and warnings

Photo comparisons, interval checks and dose-limit prompts are supplementary only. They can be incomplete or incorrect. A recorded override documents your decision; it is not approval from MediMAR or a healthcare professional.

6. Administration, diary and reports

MediMAR records information supplied or confirmed by you. Personal MAR, Diary and Mood and Medication reports may contain mistakes, omissions, retrospective entries or overrides and are not independently verified clinical records.

7. Data and backups

The current version stores app information locally and can create an optional encrypted personal backup. You are responsible for its password, destination and appropriate management of backups and exported reports. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Subscriptions and payment

Where offered through an app-store subscription, payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are administered through your Apple or Google account under the applicable store terms.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse MediMAR, bypass its security, interfere with its operation or use MediMAR Personal to provide a regulated medication-administration service for third parties.

10. Intellectual property

MediMAR’s software, design, branding and original content are protected by applicable law. Third-party data remain subject to their licences, detailed in Data Sources & Licences.

11. Availability

We may maintain, update, replace or discontinue features to improve safety, comply with law or support newer operating systems. Uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

12. Liability

Nothing excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful, including mandatory consumer rights. Subject to those protections, MediMAR is a personal support tool and is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate entries, failure to follow professional instructions, unavailable device services or use outside its stated purpose where such loss was not reasonably foreseeable.

13. Governing law

Consumer rights and the law applicable where you live continue to apply.
